You can bring up to 12 brigades/units. The mission is to take a flag behind a fortified Union line across a creek.
An easy way to win is to march your units northward along the W edge of the map to flank the Federal right-flank strongpoints, which include two fortified infantry positions and an artillery position. Essentially march them into position to the W of those strongpoints…
…and then march them east to sweep the Federals out…
…and then form defensive lines against Union cavalry and skirmisher/sharpshooter counterattacks, mostly from the north and east, which won’t be difficult to withstand.
Avoid chasing Union units all over the map. Their cavalry reinforcements may go around you and re-take the flag.

You can bring up to 14 units, and the strategy described above works fine.
